This week’s weekly photo challenge from WordPress is Colour (using the Canadian/British spelling of it!)
I take a lot of photos with lots of colour. I love bright colours and they always attract me. I notice coloured doors, houses, flowers, signs, designs, cars, costumes, and so on. When I have to decide what to include for this challenge I have a wealth of choice so I had a think about it and decided to theme it around buildings in living colour.

Nice pictures of “color” Diane. :)

Thank yoU!
I love taking photos of colourful buildings too! I’ve never seen those buildings in Keswick, though. I’ll definitely look out for them next time I visit. The last photo reminds me of a similar mural in Rhodes. It’s on a wall outside a nightclub, and drunk people always walk into it because they think it’s a real street:)
They’re in the main square of Keswick. The pink was was taken from a car park behind, going through that narrow little alley way between the red and blue buildings.
I haven’t been up there in a while, but will definitely look out for them when I do. The Lake District isn’t the obvious place to expect a bright pink shop is it? :)
We’re on a road trip looking at awesome blogs. Vampires stopped by! Thanks for having us :)
Thanks!
Beautiful array of colours!
Thanks!
I like the first photo. If I was there, I would definitely go inside. And the last one. The painting outside that building is very nicely drawn. :)
Something tells me it’s not pink on the other side, just on the side that faced a parking lot
Still.. I love the reflection of pink! :)
Love the contrasting mailboxes! Very nice post.
Thanks!
Any way you spell it, I Love your colour entry.
I’m into mood change. http://blogagaini.wordpress.com/2013/04/07/weekly-photo-challenge-color-one-image-different-moods/
Thank you!
Love it! Love to look at architecture, and the colors are gorgeous.
Thank you! Architecture is one of my favourite things to take pictures of
Well done, love the vibrant colours.
Thank you!
Nice shots… The bright colours are fantastic. I love the first little pink ‘house’ there is so much going on in that shot. I love the little window that is brimming with hats! Very cool…
BTW Thanks for the visit and follow over at CTB :D
Thank you! Your blog looks really interesting too! Always keen to see what other traveling Canadians are up to!
Well more work than travel. I took a job here and as an expat I thought I could travel more, but work is crazy busy. Each school holiday we try to get away though.
Which part of the Great White North are you from?
Thanks again for the visit and kind comments :)
I’m on the east coast in Nova Scotia.
My parents are from Cape Breton. I have been there many MANY times. I haven’t been since I was a teen though and I know a lot has changed. Where are you?
I’m in Halifax. All these years and have only been to Cape Breton once!!
It is beautiful there… I keep saying I should go back after all these years. Things have changed so much I like to remember it as it was and afraid a visit would spoil that.
I was in Halifax only once that I can remember and my relatives house, so I didn’t see much of the city :(
That shocking pink – it is a great photo. Love the old buildings in copenhagen too.
Those Copenhagen buildings were lovely , and hidden off a little private courtyard.
I love these colourful buildings, your selection of photographs are great!! Thanks for following my journey, I look forward to seeing more of your posts in the future!!
Thank you!
What lovely images and such vibrant colors! Thanks for the visit!
THank you!
Thank you and you’re welcome!
They are all so colorful but the last photo is very interesting!
Love the colour contrast of those post boxes Diane! Thanks for linking this to my post, it’s fun seeing what the different post boxes are like around the world. Love this colourful post too :)
