Cee’s Black & White Challenge – Abandoned

Cee’s Photography blog issues weekly photo challenges, this one in black and white.

We were driving through the back roads of Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest province. We’d arrived by ferry and were traveling along the east coastal route, heading for Georgetown (PEI’s original capital) where my cousin lives. As we drove along, I spied this little cottage that looked abandoned and indeed it does seem to be but the garden out front was lovingly tended.

I love this picture starts the my mind working with a lot of questions. Besides the garden, the lawn looks mowed! Questions~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    (1) Is it that someone possibly lives there?
    (2) Does someone who grew up there, lovingly plant a garden and look after the grounds and not tear the house down out of nostalgia?
    (3) Is there a newer house beside it and a great grandparent said – you can build here only if you leave the old place standing as long as I live?
    (4) Does someone from a nearby town and has no yard just covet gardening land so much that they are a weekend property poacher!
